Displacement Intrusion Molding (DIM) is Specialty Polymers USA’s proprietary process for producing large, thick-walled shapes and cross-sections from high-performance engineering thermoplastics. It draws on principles of extrusion, injection and compression molding to address geometries difficult to achieve through conventional processing. Applications: Discuss component dimensions, material grade, thermal requirements and intended use with the team to evaluate whether DIM is suitable.
